What have we been up to these six months?
The kids are a handful but we are finding true joy in parenting. I don't know why anyone would give this up for any job or degree! I am amazed I can say that now, as I have long wished to have an advanced degree.
We are not up to a whole lot, I guess.
Here are some events that have happened lately:
In March, my (Beth's) father passed away. I was blessedly able to see my dad several days before he passed. I almost did not go, as I thought he would live longer than that.
He is sorely missed.
In April and May, we travelled to the States to spend some time with my family. It was strange being there without dad. It was a good time to see friends and family, as well as make some new friends. We even found a church that sings Exclusive Psalmody and has a good pastor that preaches the Gospel. He and his wife were blessings to us more than twice.
When we arrived back in the UK, there was a lot to do. We purchased a house and the builder is still working on things. We are a bit disappointed in this, but we are choosing to trust that the Lord is going to give us the grace to deal with it in a proper fashion.
These pictures were taken at the Shire Horse Centre nearby.
We had not been there before and found it to be a lovely place.
Chris looked lick-able to this horse. It soaked his arm with saliva.
Chris is not a fan of the four-footed friends.
My daughter just may love horses almost as much as I do.
Isaac loved the digger!
More to come ...
